Build a book

Choose any six pages, a cover with their name on it, and the glitter the name is cut from. I make it, bind it on binder rings and send it ready to play with. Pages are 20 x 20 cm, and more can be added later.

How it works

Nothing is sitting on a shelf. Every page is made after you order it, which is why there is a wait and why it can be exactly what you asked for.

    Choose

    Pick six pages, a cover, and the glitter colour for their name. Or add single pages to a book they already have. Tell me the name for the cover, and anything else, in the notes at the checkout.

    I make it

    A book takes 1 to 2 weeks, a single page 3 to 5 business days, depending on what felt is in stock. If anything about your order needs a conversation, I will message you before I start.

    Posted within 1 business day of being finished. $15 flat rate anywhere in Australia, however many pages, or collect it free from Angle Vale.

Add a page to a book

Single pages are for topping up a book they already have, or replacing a favourite that has been loved to bits. Every page is 20 x 20 cm, punched for binder rings, and works on its own on a tray table or a lap. Starting from nothing? A whole book is $65, which costs less than six pages bought one at a time.

Every book comes with a cover and you choose which one. Covers are not sold on their own, and the name is cut to order in the glitter colour you pick. See the name on the cover as you build.

The person making them

Hi, I'm Bec. I have been a crafter since I was small, thanks to my mum, who made my pyjamas and my quilt covers out of whatever I was obsessed with that year.

I made the first busy book for my own daughter, then one for a friend's little boy, and here we are. Every page is made by me in Adelaide, for little hands and minds, and I would love to make something special for yours.

Some people call them quiet books, some call them busy books. Either way, they are felt pages with things to do on them: zips, buttons, pieces that come off and go back on.
