The apples are ready and there are two baskets waiting underneath, one for the red ones and one for the green. Each apple comes off the tree with a press and a pop, which is satisfying enough on its own, and then there is the question of which basket it belongs in. The tree ends up bare, the baskets end up full, and somebody will want everything back on the tree straight away.
