The strawberries are ripe and somebody has to pick them. One for the basket, one for the koala, one for you. The basket fills up, gets tipped out onto the tray table, and the whole harvest starts over. It is a small job with a beginning and an end, which is exactly what a two-year-old wants from a job.
Four strawberries above a stitched basket with a real pocket, so the picking has somewhere to go. Along the way there is pincer grip, counting to four, and the first “red like a strawberry”.
